About me
My born-and-carried-on name is Jeremy Garnett. I write poetry under the tag JPGPoet, am known as Dancing Man, locally, and name myself a creative imaginist.
I’m a poet, short story author, intermittent miniaturistic photographer, improv dancer and professional academic proofreader based in Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia.
Over the years, I have self-published three books, Layers of Creation (2015), Waiting on Rain (2017), and Red Dirt Scrawl (2022), and had a variety of poems and short stories published in books and websites, worldwide. You can find many of my works on Instagram, along with with images that inspired them.

This output
I am currently (as of April, 2023) investigating the best was to share my works with the world. My backlog of poetry, for instance, runs to over 400 individual poems. As I do so, and because I wrote a new story yesterday (April 4), I will be posting some of my stories essays, here, for free, and perhaps some poetry.
Your feedback
Any feedback you provide on both platforms and writing would be much appreciated.
Comments on story and essay grammar will either be corrected or argued, while such on poetry will be reviewed but probably ignored. I write poetry in the instant, and while I may change tiny things in the act of performance, the content, the emotions inherent, are of a time, a place.
Your opinions may feed into the form, the foundation of future works, or directly inspire poetry of delight or dire thought.

Acknowledgement of Country
I acknowledge the Larrakia people as the Traditional Owners of the lands upon which I live and write, and I pay my respects to Larrakia elders past, present, and emerging.
I acknowledge, also, all those Traditional Owners of the lands and realms I have wandered and been inspired by, both in this life and in dream, and pay my respects to their elders, throughout time, space, and dimension.
